Looking for something juicy?

During the 2008 campaign much to do was made about Obama's status as an author.  He had written two books, The Audacity of Hope and Dreams from My Father, that explored much about his life and his views on the world.  While you would think that the press, in all its investigative glory, might have fact-checked either of these books in hopes to find a chink in the armor, or at least some juicy tidbit to scoop, no one did.

One year later, Sarah Palin releases her first book, Going Rogue, about her experiences in politics.  The book was released after she stepped down as governor of Alaska, so while she is definitely somewhat of a celebrity, she's not currently running for office.  That didn't keep the Associated Press from assigning 11 reporters, BEFORE the book was released publicly, to fact check the entire book.  Get that - 11 reporters assigned to gauge whether or not Palin is truthful.  They must think there is something really juicy in Palin's background.  Yet during the campaign, not one was assigned to ascertain the veracity of either of Obama's books - despite known "red flags" about Obama, like his past associations with the likes of such model citizens as Tony Rezko and Bill Ayers.

The media would have us believe that they are not biased.  How on God's green earth can you not come to the conclusion that they are when they do things like this?  I have a suggestion for the Associated Press, that might help improve their image as Obama's lapdogs.  Maybe you could pull just a couple of reporters off your Palin Investigation Squad, even one would be great, and assign them to fact check Obama's books. There are alot of people out here in the heartland that would just love to see what you uncover, especially if you have the testicular fortitude to honestly investigate the mystery surrounding his birth and documentation surrounding it.

Evidently, microscopic scrutiny is only reserved for Conservatives.
