Unfortunately, elections do matter. The election in 2008 of a political neophyte to the highest office in the land has had consequences. It was like asking a kid who played Microsoft Flight Simulator to fly a Boeing 747 full of passengers, when there people who were available who had flight experience, even if it was only in a Cessna. Theoretically, the kid may know all the instruments on the flight deck, but when faced with a real in-flight emergency, they wouldn’t have the instincts based on experience on how to handle themselves accordingly.
